The story
Campaign furniture was designed to travel — to fold flat and survive a sea voyage in a trunk, then reassemble into something that looked like a gentleman's drawing room in the middle of a military encampment. These two chairs were made in India for a British officer, using local teak for the frames and English brass hardware. They have traveled a long way and show it, and they are none the worse for it.
